SayaTV is a free software application that lets you broadcast live video through the Internet. The software is available in Spanish and English. SayaTV is a mesh network based broadcasting software. SayaTV implements both remote and local broadcasting. When the software is used in local mode, the broadcasting is sent directly to your internet provider. In this case, there is no latency and the bandwidth used is the bandwidth provided by your internet provider. The other mode of broadcasting uses a peer-to-peer (P2P) mesh network. In this mode, there are intermediary peers between your computer and your internet provider. In this way, there is very little bandwidth used, and there is a low latency. When your video is streamed through SayaTV, it is sent to one of the many mesh-network peers. From this point, it is sent on to another mesh-network peer, and so on until it reaches your internet provider.
